DISHA featured at the 2025 AI Action Summit in Paris

On 10–11 Feb 2025, France hosted the 2025 AI Action Summit at the Grand Palais in Paris. The event will brought together Heads of State and Government, leaders of international organizations, CEOs, academics, NGOs, artists, and civil society to explore the transformative potential of AI.

DISHA was selected as one of 50 innovative projects from 770 applications across 111 countries by the Paris Peace Forum to be featured during the AI Action Summit. The selected projects, representing 28 countries (including 22 from the Global South), address critical global challenges such as enhancing healthcare outcomes, combating digital violence, improving crisis response and accessibility for the visually impaired. This recognition underscores our commitment to leveraging artificial intelligence for ethical and inclusive solutions that promote the well-being of communities worldwide.

DISHA hosted a dedicated booth on the main floor of the Grand Palais, where DISHA’s solutions were demoed for the Summit attendees. The DISHA booth welcomed high-level visitors such as UN Secretary-General António Guterres, ITU Secretary-General Doreen Bogdan-Martin, UN Tech Envoy Amandeep Singh Gill, UNDP Chief Digital Officer Robert Opp, member states officials, Summit delegates and about half a dozen journalists who recorded interviews with the team. It was a special pleasure to welcome Vilas Dhar, Nick Cain and Mathilde Barge of the Patrick J. McGovern’s Foundation, DISHA founding partner at the booth, and get to hear over and over again from the booth visitors how inspiring and relevant they found DISHA’s work.
